UMLAAS ROAD

Umlaas Road is on the main line between Durban and Pietermaritzburg; it was the former junction for a now-closed section of the old main line to Thornville as well as the closed and lifted narrow gauge line to Mid-Illovo. As can be seen here in this 2010 picture by Greg Hart, the signal box is still extant but gutted.
